Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to bring our cafe experience to life. You’ll lead by example on the floor, ensure smooth operations during your shift, and create an environment where customers and teammates feel valued.

Responsibilities include crafting coffee and matcha, delivering exceptional hospitality, training new team members, opening and closing the store, resolving customer issues, and driving foot traffic and daily sales.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership role (e.g., Shift Leader, Supervisor) in hospitality, cafe, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age to work in the U.S.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the shop floor to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha to standard recipes.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers and train new employees.
• Open and close the store, ensuring all checklists are completed and safety standards met.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Drive foot traffic, daily sales, and store profitability through initiatives.

What You'll Own

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products


• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers


• Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipe on the menu and operational processes in the store


• Open and close the the store safely and responsibly ensuring that all checklists are followed


• Handle and solve customer issues that occur


• Leads and support initiatives at the store level that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage


• 18+ years of age


• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time


• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
  
  
  
  • Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
