Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to guide daily cafe operations, lead by example on the floor, and ensure smooth service during peak hours.

You’ll train teammates, uphold recipes and store standards, and help grow a friendly, high-volume cafe culture while delivering excellent hospitality. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in customer-service leadership, enjoy cafe culture, and excel at multi-tasking and people skills in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder) in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week, with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun).
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S. and complete Form I-9 with acceptable documents.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed, ensuring recipes and operating processes are followed.
• Open and close the store safely and responsibly with all checklists followed.
• Handle and solve customer issues that occur.
• Lead and support initiatives that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and profitability.

What You'll Own

• Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipe on the menu and operational processes in the store
• Open and close the the store safely and responsibly ensuring that all checklists are followed
• Handle and solve customer issues that occur
• Leads and support initiatives at the store level that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
  • Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify")
