Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes seeks a Production Team Lead to supervise daily operations in the absence of a manager. You will create shift schedules, assign duties, and assist at various work stations during your shift.

You will coordinate activities of workers in product assembly, review schedules and priorities, and lead department tasks to ensure timely production and quality control. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

• Experience as Shift Leader or similar role in retail.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in coordinating activities of workers engaged in product assembly, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, specifications, and production scheduling.
• Discuss with supervisor and check production schedules, specifications, and priorities to plan departmental work assignments.
• Designate duties of assembly workers and lead department activities.
• Revise work assignments as required by priorities and work availability.
• Explain and demonstrate assembly line procedures and techniques to workers.
• Interpret specifications and work orders for workers.
• Requisition, obtain, and distribute supplies and materials.
• Assist workers in resolving technical problems and advise supervisor of complex production problems.
• Read, prepare, collect, and maintain reports such as production reports, attendance records, and waste reports.
