Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Production Manager to oversee the production of company product lines when the Production Manager is unavailable.

You will supervise foremen and staff, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with HR, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources and output. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, problem solving, and the ability to lead a large team under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates production in the absence of the Production Manager.
• Provides on the job guidance and training to Foreman.
• Enforces safety policies with Foremen and production employees.
• Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Reviews production and operational reports to identify causes of nonconformity.
• Develops and implements methods to improve product quality and production efficiency.
• Revises production schedules due to equipment failure or problems.
• Consults with engineering on machine and equipment improvements.
