Job summary

Helimax Aviation, LLC. is seeking a First Mechanic to join the team.

The successful candidate will supervise Mechanics on their shift and assist fellow team mechanics in all phases of aircraft maintenance and maintenance planning to meet goals and schedule deadlines as required. You will manage day-to-day maintenance operations, authorize return to service per 14 CFR 43.7, and ensure accurate logbooks and compliance with FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Airframe and Powerplant certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining large civil aircraft.
• Overseas travel required in support of aircraft operations.
• Must be familiar with FAA regulations.
• Ability to manage small teams and assign tasks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Inspection authority or Airworthiness Release authority a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics on shift and assist with maintenance planning.
• Authorize return to service after maintenance per 14 CFR 43.7.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance operations.
• Review logbooks and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with QC and inspectors to meet objectives.
• Ensure safety and proper use of tools and data.
• Assign tasks and oversee daily work schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping and access to manuals.
