Job summary

Five Guys in Nashville, TN is seeking a Shift Leader to lead the shift, work side-by-side with the team, and ensure every guest walks out impressed. The pay starts at $19.00/hour plus tips and bonus.

You’ll jump into every position, deliver fast service, coach crew, and help train new team members while maintaining brand standards in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to lead by doing and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.
• Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Fill in every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experiences.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks such as breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
