Job summary

Five Guys in Ocala, FL is seeking a Shift Leader to run busy shifts, lead by example, and ensure every guest leaves impressed. You’ll work side-by-side with the crew, stepping into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles as needed to keep service fast and accurate.

This hands-on leadership position develops coaching skills, keeps the kitchen safe and clean, and drives a strong, positive culture in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communications skills.
• Leads by doing and stays calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math ability and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
