Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our Tempe, AZ ASU store. You will lead a fast-paced shift, ensure top-notch customer service, oversee baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning, and train team members.

Build efficient workflows, monitor production, and uphold safety standards while keeping the store inviting for guests. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year in customer-service roles, POS experience, strong communication, and a friendly, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer-service experience.
• Experience with Point of Sale systems.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, friendly and patient demeanor.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to guests.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift and coaching team members.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.

Shift Leader

ASU store: 116 E University Drive, Tempe AZ 85281.

You are the captain of our bakery day or night! Your hands‑on leadership style should not only include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers, but also involve predicting the flow of business during a successful shift to ensure the store runs smoothly.

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all guests throughout their experience within our bakeries.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, holding the team accountable to company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and coaching of team members.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food‑handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer‑service focused role.
• Point of Sale systems experience.
