Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a Residential Leader at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska. You will supervise students around the clock, coordinating with Senior Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and at least 2 years of experience with at-risk youth. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

• Internal applicants must have been employed by Rite of Passage for 1 year and have no disciplinary actions within the past 6 months.
• External applicants must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience with at-risk youth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program policies are followed and support staff performance and youth well-being.

Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Pay

Starting at $50,000/annually (pay starts at this rate for individuals with a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience with at-risk youth)

What you will do

As Shift Leader, you will be operationally responsible for the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of students in the program, through the work performed by Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors. The supervisory duties may also include participation in decisions to evaluate performance, reward or discipline other employees, or responsibility to direct them. The Shift Lead exercises his/her authority daily by directing both students and staff to meet service expectations. This role involves providing direct care hours to at-risk youth, creating a supportive environment that addresses their needs.

To Be Considered, You Should

• Have a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or related field (for example, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Family Studies, and/or Human Development).
• Have at least 2 years of experience working directly with at risk-youth in a residential home, juvenile detention, or treatment facility setting.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Be able to pass a search of the Child Abuse Central Registry.
• Have a valid driver's license.

Internal applicants must have been employed by Rite of Passage for 1 year and have no less than standard performance/no corrective disciplinary actions within the past 6 months.

External applicants must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience as a full-time employee (or 2,080 hours of supervisory experience) with at-risk youth in a residential home, juvenile detention, or treatment facility setting.

Schedule

Looking to fill B shift with a schedule of 3.5/days on and 3.5 days off

• Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m., and Thursday - Saturday (the hours may vary between 10 am - 10 pm and 8a m-8 pm)
