Job summary

S and G stores in Michigan is seeking a Shift Lead to support the store manager and ensure efficient operation while complying with federal, state, local laws and Company policies.

You will provide customer service leadership, maintain a clean, organized store, handle cash and card transactions, assist with merchandising, monitor transactions, and help rotate foodservice products to keep items fresh.

Qualifications

• Retail experience / Customer Service Experience Required.
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures.

Summary:

A Shift Lead at S&G serves as direct support of the store manager; ensures that the store operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and Company policies; properly manages employees and works closely with Store Manager to ensure the store maximizes sales and profits while maintaining asset controls

• Responds quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifies the appropriate individuals

• Monitors store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products

Requirements:

• Retail experience / Customer Service Experience Required
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical task such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time. e.g., in the store, outside, and in the cooler.
• Available to work carious shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
