Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Facility Supervisor (Shift Supervisor) to manage federal facility operations and maintenance. The role oversees on-site operations, directs engineering and trades personnel, and ensures all systems are operated and maintained per contract requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising shift staff, monitoring major building systems, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance; background checks and potential credentialing are required.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to coordinate across roles and authorities.
• Experience in environments with security clearances is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing personnel records and official submissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site facility operations during assigned shifts.
• Direct engineering and trades personnel and monitor all facility systems.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and contract requirements are met during shifts.
• Supervise on-site staff, perform equipment checks, and document work in CMMS.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on operational issues and safety concerns.
• Support IRS Occupancy Emergency Plan drills and emergencies.
