Job summary

The Building People seek a Facility Supervisor to oversee on-site operations for a federal O&M contract. You will direct engineering and trades staff to ensure all systems run per contract requirements.

The role requires 4+ years in operating HVAC and mechanicals, strong leadership, and clear communication. Some telework may be adjusted by the customer; background checks may be required for employment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience operating and maintaining building HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
• Strong communication and leadership across multiple roles.
• Background checks may be required and telework may change per customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate facility systems during the shift.
• Respond to service calls within required timeframes.
• Make critical operational decisions in the absence of the Project Manager.
• Supervise on-site engineering and trades staff.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and CMMS documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on outages and safety.
• Support IRS Occupancy Emergency Plan during drills and emergencies.
