Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an electrician to oversee electrical maintenance in the Melt Shop on a 4 on 4 off 12-hour rotating swing shift. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and uptime in a heavy industrial setting.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist operators and millwrights, and work with power distribution, motors, and PLCs (Allen Bradley). Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working as an electrician or electronics technician in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC motors, motor control and motor drives.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, and Rockwell Software.
• Experience with low, medium, and high voltage equipment.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
