Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. subsidiary, is seeking an experienced electrician/electronics technician to maintain electrical systems in the Melt Shop on a 4-on-4-off 12-hour rotating swing shift.

You will lead lockout procedures, perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, and support millwrights and operators daily. Required experience and knowledge are listed; Steel Dynamics emphasizes equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working as an electrician or electronics technician in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC motors, motor control and motor drives.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, and Rockwell Software.
• Experience with low, medium, and high voltage equipment.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
