Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Butler, Indiana is seeking a Day Shift Electrical Technician who will progress to our next shift electrical position. The role supports operation and maintenance of the plant and requires strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Required are knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance, good communication, organization, and leadership abilities, plus strong mechanical aptitude. Preferred experience with switchgear, motors, and PLCs is a plus.

Qualifications

Required

Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance, strong communication and teamwork skills, well organized, effective troubleshooting skills, self-directed and motivated, good leadership abilities, strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred

Skills and experience with low and high voltage switchgear, motors, variable speed drivers, controls, instruments and PLC’s.

Mechatronics/Electrical technical training certificate or equivalent.
