Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Logan, Utah seeks a production supervisor with 2+ years in manufacturing/operations. You will guide employees, audit processes for quality and safety, inspect shipments, and coordinate production activities with other departments to meet specifications.

Responsibilities include training new staff, maintaining shift schedules, and identifying improvement opportunities while ensuring the company’s quality policy is understood and followed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Ability to apply policies, procedures, regulations and program objectives.
• Proficient with computers and software (MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets).
• Excellent oral and written communication across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and adjust workload.
• Ability to lift up to 25, 50 pounds; occasionally more.
• Ability to perform basic math and compute rates and percentages.
• Effective interaction with internal/external customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes.
• Maintain positive relationships and direct employees to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Inspect products and shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement.
• Attend production meetings and coordinate production activities with other departments.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and guests.
• Ensure understanding and achievement of Quality Policy and Objectives.
• May oversee junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
• May update shift schedules in the attendance system and enter transactions.
