Job summary

Optima Belle is seeking a Shift Chemical Operator in Belle, WV to monitor and control chemical processes. The role requires operating a DCS, transferring materials, reading gauges, and coordinating lab samples. You will handle safe handling of chemicals, PPE, and routine maintenance tasks in a busy plant environment.

The ideal candidate has chemical/manufacturing experience, strong English communication skills, and the ability to work in a team. Overtime and physical work are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience in chemical/manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and safety rules.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Pumping of chemicals from containers, tanks, dikes, and totes.
• Read gauges, scales and record information per operating instructions.
• Operate the DCS to run chemical processes safely.
• Take samples and coordinate results with the laboratory.
• Operate a forklift and load materials.
• General plant cleanup and housekeeping.
