Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a dock associate in New Jersey to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record freight condition on arrival.

The role requires pre/post-shift equipment inspections, consistent attendance, and the ability to work various shifts, including overtime. Prior forklift experience or certification is preferred, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Must be able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack with minimum 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Demonstrate regular attendance and dependability.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned, including safety and operational tasks.
