Job summary

NOCO Humane in Colorado is seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join our shelter medicine team. You will perform high-volume surgeries, exams, and medical management for shelter and select owned animals, while guiding staff and ensuring compliant care.

Join rounds and partner across departments to improve population health and animal well‑being. The role requires a Colorado veterinary license, DVM degree, and willingness to supervise diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Colorado veterinarian or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in companion animal medicine and surgery.
• Ability to balance individual care with population health.

Responsibilities

• Perform spay/neuter, dental, and surgeries for shelter animals and some owned animals.
• Conduct exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and medical management.
• Collaborate with teams on population health and protocols.
• Mentor staff and trainees; ensure accurate medical records.
