Job summary

A homeless shelter in Jacksonville is seeking an Advocate to provide support for residents to follow their case plans and to ensure the overall safety of the facility. The Advocate will work closely with the assigned Case Manager and collaborate with team members to address the needs of the residents. Essential qualifications include strong interpersonal skills, a high school diploma, and a valid Florida driver's license. Experience in mental health or security is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record.
• CPR Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Case Manager to ensure residents follow their case plans.
• Coordinate the placement of new guests in the shelter.
• Serve meals and maintain shelter safety.
