Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Rensselaer, NY seeks a full‑time Community Support Aide to provide direct services in a shelter environment. You will help mothers and children, assist with housing searches, supervise meals and activities, and maintain logs and safety protocols across two floors.

Responsibilities include ensuring clean, safe common areas, coordinating with volunteers, and documenting shifts. Prior experience in shelter work is preferred but not required, with a background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supportive services to mothers and their children in the shelter or supportive housing.
• Assist guests with housing searches and complete housing applications.
• Monitor meals and ensure dining areas are clean after meals.
• Supervise children and ensure play areas are kept clean and safe.
• Maintain sign-out and attendance logs and update tenant charts with referrals.
• Perform rounds hourly to keep facilities clean and orderly.
• Shovel snow, spread salt, and monitor weather‑related access points as needed.
• Document occurrences and maintain shift notes and required paperwork.
