• Encourage and discuss progress toward housing with shelter guests.
• Assist with shelter setup and maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility, including emptying trash cans and cleaning up spills.
• Receive and verify orders from vendors; complete tally sheets.
• Post and update signs and service calendars.
• Set up and monitor audio equipment.
• Organize supplies and facility needs.
• Conduct neighborhood patrols to minimize impact on the surrounding community.
• Assist with guest services and program activities as needed.
• Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Position: Part Time, Non-Exempt | Schedule: Monday 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Friday 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Summary: The Shelter Specialist provides supportive and logistical services to the Emergency Shelter Program during designated shifts. Responsibilities include shelter setup, maintaining facility cleanliness, and conducting neighborhood patrols. The role requires crisis intervention and trauma-informed service delivery.
