Job summary

Lantern Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Social Worker for a full‑time role in a new all‑female shelter in the Bronx. You will deliver client‑centered services, including assessments, counseling, case management, and crisis intervention to residents facing homelessness and related challenges.

Role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, with HIPAA‑compliant documentation and a commitment to harm‑reduction principles.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school; LMSW preferred.
• At least one year of experience with adults/families facing homelessness or related issues.
• Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Ability to work under pressure, including during crises; scheduling flexibility.
• Experience with ETO or other electronic record‑keeping systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, counseling, case management, and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate care and referrals to appropriate levels of care.
• Document services accurately in compliance with standards.
• Engage residents and collaborate with community partners.
• Develop and deliver groups or trainings to promote housing stability.
• Support supervision and professional development.
