Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NYS Security License.
• 8-hour and 16-hour certificates required.
• F-02 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard for Shelters.
• F-80 Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters.
• T89 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Life and Safety Director welcomed.
• Security or law enforcement experience with one-year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety staff providing direction and instruction to staff on routine security tasks for assigned shift.
• Maintain camera surveillance of the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Investigate incidents or interactions.
• Act as the Fire Safety Director and staff the Fire Command Station.
• Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
