Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in New York, NY is seeking a Full-time Shift/Safety Supervisor to manage Safety Monitors on duty, supervise safety procedures, and ensure compliance with agency protocols at the New York site.

The role includes conducting fire drills, responding to incidents, logging reports, and coordinating with DHS systems. Applicants should have security licenses, CPR, a valid NYS driver's license, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess Security license.
• Must possess an F02.
• Must possess an F80.
• Must possess current CPR certification.
• NYS Driver's license required.
• Two years supervisory experience in commercial/residential security or law enforcement, or Five years' experience as a Private/Personal Security Officer.
• Must have good communications skills, experience working with women and children.
• Exhibits superior professionalism at all times, even when under pressure or experiencing challenges with the clients.
• Must successfully complete background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed as per agency protocol.
• Conducts fire drills and documents results.
• Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in responding to and documenting incidents.
• Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry.
• Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies.
• Answers facility phone and directs calls.
• Ensures that Safety Monitors conduct patrols and monitor the CCTV system and report observations.
• Trains Safety Monitors in security measures and recommends changes in procedures/equipment to the Manager of Building Operations.
• Oversee and supervise department staff in the utilization of the DHS Client Assistance and Re-housing System (CARES) System regarding Intake Check-In, Incident Reports, and Facility Bed Management.
