Job summary

Homes for the Homeless is seeking a Safety Supervisor for our Families with Children facility in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx. You will oversee safety staff, ensure a secure environment, and coordinate with program teams to protect residents and staff.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, security or law enforcement experience with supervisory duties, and valid NYS security and fire-safety certifications. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Security or law enforcement experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with NYC DHS and CARES system preferred.
• Valid NYS Security License and associated Fire Safety Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety staff and provide direction for routine security tasks.
• Maintain interior and exterior camera surveillance of the facility.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Investigate incidents or interactions.
• Act as the Fire Safety Director and staff the Fire Command Station.
