Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of social service experience or two years without diploma.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Team-oriented with minimal supervision and strong communication.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and handle confidential information.
• Computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients to maintain safety in building and on grounds.
• Enforce resident policies and procedures.
• Complete intake interviews including police clearance and policy explanations.
• Assign beds and manage bed linens.
• Make journal log entries and review prior entries.
• Record attendance statistics and maintain roster.
• Conduct hourly night bed checks.
• Answer phones and relay messages as needed.
• Assign and monitor resident chores; assist training; keep office clean.
• Wake clients as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality per Safe from Harm guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and trainings; assist with events.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere with staff and clients.
