Job summary

Eva's Village in Paterson, NJ seeks a Shelter Aide to support the House Manager and monitor residents. You will coordinate activities, keep sign-in sheets, logs, and HMIS data, and assist with transportation and meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to all levels of personnel.
• Ability to supervise residents in a fair and diplomatic manner.
• Ability to diffuse crises; willingness to perform crisis intervention when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Follows program rules, policies and procedures; maintains sign-in/out sheets.
• Maintains logs, calendar and resident appointment charting; handles HMIS data entry.
• Answers phones, relays messages and distributes mail; ensures program security.
• Monitors resident activities, meals, room inspections and daily transportation coordination.
