Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is seeking a Shelter Program Manager to design, develop and implement program plans that meet daily goals and serve participants with compassion.

You will recruit, train and supervise staff, coordinate referrals with partner organizations, and maintain thorough records to comply with funding guidelines; a valid NYS driver's license is required and mobility to reach client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with up to three (3) years of relevant experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of a technical field can be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement program plans to achieve daily program goals and objectives.
• Create and coordinate program activities and resources.
• Network with Catholic Charities and outside service providers to make appropriate referrals to service participants.
• Promote the program objectives and maintain timely records to meet funding guidelines.
• Direct and supervise staff; assist in recruiting, training and evaluating program staff.
• Recruit and evaluate program participants and maintain accountability for all participants and staff.
