Job summary

Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager for the New Horizons Domestic Violence Shelter in Middletown, CT. You will provide comprehensive direction, oversee daily shelter operations for 10–15 residents, and ensure CCADV standards of care align with CHC policies to optimize client outcomes.

As part of the CKP team, you will supervise staff, coordinate care options, manage data entry and reporting, and collaborate with community partners to sustain funding and program impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Strong communication and program management skills.
• Domestic Violence Certification (obtained within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, secure accommodations for 10–15 residents of the emergency DV shelter.
• Lead regular shelter and staff meetings; oversee CCADV standards of care and CHC policies.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate shelter staff and volunteers; document training.
• Coordinate outreach and care options; assist with complex cases; support data entry and reporting.
• Manage staffing coverage, budgeting, and grants coordination; maintain community partnerships.
