Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia is seeking a part-time Program Assistant for the Northside Common Ministries emergency men’s homeless shelter and food pantry in Pittsburgh. You will support operations and compliance, conduct intake for the pantry, maintain inventory, and coordinate with GPFB for orders.

You’ll work closely with Housing & Community Service teams to ensure accurate records and compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 4 years experience OR
Associates' Degree AND 2 years experience OR
Bachelor's Degree AND no year of experience

Responsibilities

Coordinate initial intake for the food pantry and support enrollment procedures for the Northside Common Ministries Men’s Emergency Shelter and food pantry.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources related to housing needs.
Manage pantry and shelter inventory; coordinate with GPFB for orders and escalate sign-offs to appropriate team members.
Collaborate with emergency shelter and pantry team to maintain accurate records per agency expectations and program compliance.
Follow guidelines for applicable regulatory entities such as DPW, DOL, and PA Department of Education.
