Job summary

Endeavors is seeking a custodian responsible for cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas and supervising custodial staff as needed. The role emphasizes safety, timely completion of tasks, and positive interaction with shelter staff and clients.

The position requires daily vehicle use, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel among locations to meet business needs. Endevors emphasizes a non-discriminatory workplace and accommodations as required by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 4 months to 1 year of experience as a custodian
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
• Driver’s License with clear record.
• Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
• Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits and observe all applicable worker safety practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Perform janitorial duties as necessary to meet customer/contract requirements.
• Operate motorized equipment used for cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shelter Manager that pertain to the job duties.
• Maintain a variety of records as required, such as inventory, checklists and cleaning inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
