Job summary

Catholic Charities Comm seeks a House Support Specialist to help run the 24/7 Center for Help and Hope Emergency Shelter in Bullhead City, focusing on safety, resident behavior, and program compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting with check-in/out, bed assignments, inspections, documentation, and nightly checks while coordinating with staff to meet residents' needs and ensure quality service delivery. This role requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent plus one or more years of experience working with homeless populations, substance abuse, mental health.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field plus one-year experience preferred.
• Peer Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to assist in check-in and check-out process, bed assignments, and compliance with house rules.
• Inspect living areas for cleanliness and safety, and provide life skills opportunities.
• Document shift information and observations.
• Conduct nightly bed checks and monitor curfew; observe visitors every 30 minutes.
• Mediate conflicts and resolve issues.
• Ensure client compliance with house rules and safety guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean environment and sanitation.
• Enter HMIS data after lights out and collaborate with staff for client service planning.
