Job summary

Family Promise Big Bend seeks a part-time Shelter Assistant to support daily shelter operations and assist clients along the housing plan. You will liaison with care managers, maintain records, and help with meals and supplies while promoting a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of customer service, and MS Office proficiency. Shifts include 7AM–3PM, 3PM–11PM, and 11PM–7AM, with pay per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily shelter operations and support clients along the housing plan.
• Serve as liaison between care managers and neighbors/clients; address issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and document incidents.
• Help with meals, supplies, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
• Answer questions and promote participation in housing resources and workshops.
