The position requires an associate degree or equivalent shelter experience, strong verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 60 college credits in Human Services field, or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant shelter experience.
• Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication, including basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide standardized assessments to individuals in the shelter.
• Obtain household verification and background checks as required.
• Assess clients' housing and service needs; identify immediate housing placement opportunities.
• Collaborate with area providers to coordinate necessary services.
• Make referrals to case management, housing search support and other services.
