Volunteers of America-Greater New York is seeking an Assessment Specialist for the Schwartz Men’s Shelter on Wards Island, NY 10035. You will conduct standardized assessments, determine housing barriers, and identify service needs for homeless men, coordinating referrals to housing search and case management.
The role requires an Associates Degree or 60 college credits in Human Services (or a HS Diploma/GED with relevant shelter experience) and strong verbal/written communication skills.
