The Community Correction Association is seeking a part-time Domestic Violence Specialist in Youngstown, OH to provide shelter support, screening, safety, and referrals. You will work with on-call counselors to maintain a secure, supportive environment for residents and assist with admission decisions.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of social service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Non-judgmental, compassionate, and professional demeanor in crises.

Mansioni

• Screen callers seeking shelter and assist admission decisions with counseling support.
• Monitor residents’ location and accountability during shifts.
• Lead house meetings addressing issues, expectations, and updates.
• Maintain office, complete documentation and log entries.
• Ensure adherence to rules and coordinate with on-call staff.
• Answer calls with information and referrals to DV services.
• Complete orientation and intake documentation for admissions.
• Prepare call sheets for all calls.
• Secure shelter and office during shifts for safety.
• Respond promptly to residents’ needs for basic necessities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
