Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a hands-on production operator in Alabama to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will set up and run press brakes, perform bends, insert PEM fasteners, and mask parts as needed. The role includes operating punch machines and reporting production data to supervisors.

You should be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs, reading blueprints, and using calipers. Experience with CNC is a plus, and overtime may be required in a lean manufacturing environment.

• Must have ability to work in a fast paced production environment with multiple product changes during shift.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and using calipers with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and complete production schedules by following press brake program directions.
• Operate press brake to add bends and pem fasteners to sheetmetal parts, and manage masking of parts.
• Operate punch machines and report production information to supervisors.
• Follow supervisor and engineer directions and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Troubleshoot defective processes and support ISO Quality System and Lean initiatives.
