Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal to operate and monitor sheet metal equipment at our Centerville, Iowa site. You will support upstream departments by producing parts, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

The role requires hands-on fabrication skills, ability to read measuring devices, and a team-oriented mindset to drive efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints and work orders.
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.
• Experience reading rulers and calipers is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment (brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, deburring machines).
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for kitting.
• Read rulers, tapes, squares, protractors, and other measuring tools.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and run trial cuts to verify operation.
