Qualifications

• Proven sheetmetal estimating experience.
• Interpreting technical drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical/vocational training.
• Experience with cost estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and technical specifications to assess project requirements.
• Estimate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Source and evaluate materials, suppliers, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals and quotations to clients.
• Analyze past projects to refine cost estimation processes.
• Maintain knowledge of machine technologies and industry trends.
• Assist in project planning to ensure feasibility and profitability.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding scope, pricing, and lead times.
