Qualifications

• Experience estimating sheet metal fabrication costs and preparing quotes.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong math and analytical skills for cost breakdowns.
• Experience with prototype and low-volume manufacturing estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Estimate material, labor, tooling, outside processing, and overhead costs.
• Prepare detailed customer quotes and proposals.
• Evaluate project feasibility and production requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Source and evaluate material, supplier, and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Assist with project planning, lead-time estimates, and profitability.
• Communicate scope, pricing, and lead times with customers.
• Maintain knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and equipment.
