Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Sheeter Operator/Trainee to safely operate and maintain a Marquip sheeter, cutting large rolls of paperboard into quality sheets. The role involves 12-hour shifts with 36- or 48-hour weeks and requires high school diploma and experience in machine operation.

The position emphasizes learning the operation, meeting production standards, and providing guidance to team members while maintaining accurate production records and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Basic printing concepts and quality requirements.
• Clear communication with team and shifts.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Ability to train new crew members.
• Basic math for tracking production and material usage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Marquip sheeter at targeted speeds and production output.
• Operate machine controls and conveyor, assist with changes and maintenance.
• Learn quality requirements of sheeted loads and inspect loads accordingly.
• Perform machine setup and troubleshooting to remove production barriers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Provide leadership and training to fellow crew members as needed.
• Maintain production records and communicate issues with other shifts and management.
• Keep work area clean and organized and participate in training programs.
