Job summary

Southern Champion Tray Llc is seeking a Day Shift Sheeter Operator to safely set up and run the sheeting machine at the Chattanooga plant. The role requires reading scales, setting knives, and maintaining product quality at target speeds.

Responsibilities include operating the machine consistently, following procedures, and ensuring accurate sheet length and proper trimming. Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds, standing for long periods, and complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand documents in English.
• Must have basic math skills and tape measure reading.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Must safely set up and operate the machine to meet target speed for each run.
• Set up and operate machines consistently and follow procedures for operation.
• Inspect sheets for quality: length accuracy, printing, and sheet measurement.
• Adjust tension gauges to prevent board curl and ensure proper trimming.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping, including guarding and PPE compliance.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow 5S guidelines to keep work area clean and organized.
