You will manage roll handling, knife adjustments, and stack/pack finished sheets with attention to safety and production targets. The position emphasizes mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to lead a crew when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and mechanical ability required
• Must be able to read a tape measure and interpret scales
• Fork Lift certification required per SCT training

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the sheeter to meet target speeds and quality
• Read scales and adjust knife settings as needed
• Maintain proper procedures for operation and safety
• Inspect sheets for accuracy in length and quality of sheeted product
• Tension gauges adjusted to prevent board curl and ensure proper trim flow
• Move and stack sheets, band and tag pallets, and log production in system
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and assist with machine malfunctions
• Follow 5S cleanliness standards and keep work area safe
• Occasionally perform other tasks or shift to another department per production needs
• Maintain equipment and report tool needs to supervisor
