Job summary

Innovairre Communications is seeking an experienced sheetfed offset press operator to drive quality, schedule adherence, and throughput at our Mount Pleasant, IA facility. You’ll set up, run, and monitor a press, ensuring colors, densities, and registrations meet client specs.

Responsibilities include installing plates, balancing ink and water, swapping blankets, inspecting output, logging makereadies and waste, and maintaining a safe work environment through strict adherence to HazCom and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on offset press operation.
• Strong knowledge of lithographic principles, color management, and finishing processes.
• Ability to interpret job tickets and work comfortably with computer and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of predictive and productive maintenance practices.
• Track record of monitoring equipment for speed and quality.
• Physical readiness: stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run a sheetfed offset press to meet quality, schedule, and productivity goals.
• Install plates; set colors; adjust ink/water balance; maintain registration and densities.
• Swap blankets and cylinders; clean ink fountains and units between jobs.
• Continuously inspect output, spot defects, and correct immediately.
• Log counts, makereadies, and waste; communicate job status during shift transitions; escalate issues to the Team Lead and collaborate on fixes.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and HazCom.
