Job summary

Oliver Inc. in Hauppauge, NY seeks an experienced press operator for the 2nd shift to run sheetfed offset presses with a focus on color accuracy and fast, high‑quality production.

You will perform make‑readies, color matching, and on‑the‑fly adjustments, while following job tickets and safety protocols to ensure optimal uptime and minimal waste.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running offset presses
• Experience with Heidelberg/Komori/KBA
• Fluent with substrates and calipers
• Color standards and print quality non‑negotiable
• Read and follow job tickets and production docs
• Safety‑minded and detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheetfed offset presses to meet daily production goals
• Execute make-ready, color matching, and on‑the‑fly adjustments
• Audit output and correct issues before waste
• Align with job tickets and schedules to keep work flowing
• Perform basic preventive maintenance for uptime
• Escalate quality concerns promptly to limit downtime and scrap
• Keep press area clean, organized, and safe

• You’ve spent 5+ years running offset presses and it shows in your sheets.
• Heidelberg, Komori, or KBA experience? Even better.
• You’re fluent in substrates and calipers, and you know how they behave on press.
• Color standards and print quality aren’t guesses—they’re non‑negotiables.
• Job tickets, measurements, production docs: you read them, follow them, and deliver on them.
• You’re safety‑minded, detail‑obsessed, and a great teammate.

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate sheetfed offset presses to meet daily production goals
• Execute make‑ready, color matching, and on‑the‑fly adjustments
• Audit output continually and correct issues before they become wasteAlign with job tickets and schedules to keep work flowing
• Perform basic preventive maintenance for maximum uptime
• Escalate quality concerns promptly to limit downtime and scrap
• Keep the press area clean, organized, and safe

Shift & incentives

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
• Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
• Pay: Competitive base plus overtime opportunities
