Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician – Sheetfed to service customers in the Detroit area. You will troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and train on Sheetfed equipment, and work under service contracts and warranties.

Travel about 50% to customer sites, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with bindery or printing equipment, a mechanical background, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience on bindery equipment.
• Experience with Sheetfed equipment preferred.
• Mechanical/Mechatronics background.
• Strong digital literacy and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment via charge service.
• Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment under service contract/warranty.
• Install equipment with qualified riggers and handle customer requests for moves.
• Inspect equipment via SS36 inspections with proper documentation and photos.
• Report and log time, expenses, and training activities in the system.
• Demonstrate Heidelberg service value to customers and identify upsell opportunities APS /Car stock sales.
• Communicate product knowledge clearly (verbal and written).
• Complete paperwork timely (expenses, timesheets, reports, training).
