Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Industrial Lab Technician - Sheet Mill to test in-process and finished materials, ensuring they meet customer specifications. This on-site role requires equipment operation and accurate reporting of results to technical staff.

Base pay is $26.00/hour with split shifts (6am-4pm and 4pm-2am). Eligible for a variable bonus based on company performance within the fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Lab testing of in-process and finished materials.
• Participation in ISO/ASTM procedures and quality systems.
• Ensure conformance to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and evaluates test results per standards and specs.
• Prepares metal samples; sets up testing machinery.
• Operates testing equipment per procedures; documents results.
• Performs multiple non-destructive tests (grain size, hardness, conductivity, etc.).
• Records results and reports out-of-spec results to technicians.
