Job summary

Wieland is hiring an Industrial Lab Technician - Press Room in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on testing in-process and finished materials to ensure adherence to customer specs, advising production, and communicating test results for corrective action.

The position is onsite in Buffalo with a base pay around $26/hour plus potential bonuses. Responsibilities include calibration, dimensional checks, data entry, and coordinating with Quality to address non-conforming parts.

Qualifications

• AAS in a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years full-time professional experience.
• Participation in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, 9001, IATF 16949 programs.
• Handles universal wastes including batteries, lamps and spent aerosol cans (HW).

Responsibilities

• Calibrates dial indicator gauges and performs in-process visual and dimensional inspections.
• Uses CMM to measure cup dimensions and enters results into forms.
• Release verified material for shipment and relabel packages when needed.
• Coordinate with Quality Engineer on non-conforming samples and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with furnace schedule adjustments when inaccuracies are present.
