Job summary

Wieland in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Industrial Lab Technician - Sheet Mill to perform tests on in-process and finished material samples, ensuring conformity to customer specifications. You will advise production on adjustments and communicate out-of-spec results to technical staff for corrective action.

The role is fully onsite, with a base hourly rate of $26 and a split shift schedule (6am-4pm/4pm-2am). A variable compensation plan may apply based on company performance.

Qualifications

• AAS or Bachelors in a technical discipline or STEM.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Active participation in ISO programs (ISO 14001/45001/50001, 9001, IATF 16949) and near-miss program.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and evaluates test results per standards and specs.
• Prepares metal samples for testing and sets up equipment.
• Performs non-destructive testing and records results in the quality system.
• Maintains logs of test results and generates reports for quality teams.
